No support by the author.

This is a very simple template modification of "postbit" template if you are a intermediate in HTML/XML. However, be assured that you can request support here, even if it is for help with a customising this mod for your needs.

Anyways, this mod moves the Poster's Information (located on top of a poster's post message by vB3 default) from top to the left side of the poster's post message. This gives you that look of the old forum post style. This is great for those who love the old style and do not want the new one (poster info. at top of post message).

This is copyright-free (of course), however do not claim owner of this modification.

I do not see why one has to install a template mod for this, as this is default in vBulletin

userinfo on the top: postbit template
userinfo on the left: postbit_legacy template

options "use vertical (legacy) postbit" > yes

Freddie has even released a template mod on vBulletin.com to have end user switch so users can choose between the two.

Hey, man. Don't sweat it. We were just having fun with you. The point is you tried to share something, and instead learned something new about vb yourself.

heh, well, I could always go for another version of this of where it goes to the right due to a edit

And, yeah, you'll see more template modifications (will make sure it isn't a optional feature on vB first :P) until I learn PHP/MySQL scripting to start making mods.

Later and thanks for the support though

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!!!!!!!!

this is far but uselesss as the new vertical postbit template for vb is pure crap when compared to the new one. this is because it doesnt have the lines inbetween the tables like the new one does. plus its organized poorly.

i think i will probably use this.

This one is a bit different to the default left side postbit info, so it is still to some use for people.

If i understand your description correct, the same thing can be done with a standard vBulletin setting, without any modifications.:

it's different then the legacy side-ways style .... it keeps the borders around the posting area. Now if only i can find out how to decrease the size of the User info panel
