What Does This Hack Do?

I know this is for using a paid hack (US $5), but I have been inspired by Paul M who has posted at least 2 hacks for FlashChat.

This is a hack that integrates the FlashChat Admin panel into the AdminCP.

I was getting fed-up of opening yet another tab (in Firefox) or instance of IE just to admin FlashChat, so I integrated the FlashChat Admin panel into the AdminCP myself (very easily) and thought I would share it with you folk.

This is my first hack, I thought I would start small and work my way up over time (you have to start somewhere don't you).


Installation Instructions

Download the FlashChat AdminCP Integration 1.00a.txt file, and follow the instructions.

Note: Works with FlashChat v3.9.x and above.

JD, this is an awesome hack, thank you. It sure helps to cut down on the amount of browesers you have to have open. Now I got a challenge for you...is there a way to to put something in the Administrator Permissions Manager so that I can make it where I am able to choose which of my Admins can administrate this?

Example, in the Administrator Permissions Manager, I am able to click on the radio button for to allow or not "Can Administer Settings" Yes No. It would be awesome if there was something like:
"Can Administer FlashChat" Yes No.

This way I could decide which Admins could administer the FlashChat Admin CP.

For vbb3.5xx, all you have to do is upload this attached file into your ./includes/xml folder.

You will then have a link to the new FlashChat admin area inside of your ACP.

I did not bother to update my version to v3.5.x as there is a better one for that by cyberhypnotic called FlashChat AdminCP Menu that does a lot more than mine does, so did not see the point.
