You can't really blame forum software for using specific features; most of the features are blatantly obvious as to whether to add them or not, and others are thought up by members etc.

They copied the text from some templates identically...and I'm talking about paragraphs.

lol, some are blatant rips, but saying that you have to remember that vb copy alot of the mods that you all make, and you can all get 'inspired'.

theres no copyright on features and in the end theres only so far u can go with them unless u really bloat the forum out and start adding hacks like Journal , Guest book , Arcade in the standard binary
it would be just rediculouse

as for invision they maybe adding features that are in Vb however having used both they are very different

I disagree in the statement that IPB is up to vB 2.x.

I'm not sure what it is in PHP that causes this to happen, but there are times when my forums just lag annoyingly on IPB, and on vB 2.x I got a bunch of MySQL socket errors.

vB 3.x fixes both of these problems, thank goodness. I'd like to know why some day, when I have spare time.

my main prob with Invision is still down to its admin cp and skin control its no where to being close to vb's

But i think its front end user look is better then vb's out of the box but that might swap when vb's new look comes out, yet again most people who have vb redo all there look unlike Invision what is used by alot of people who are starting out due to it being free who just keep the basic look.
