Who's Chatting?

Here is alittle hack that I compiled and enhanced out of the source code aided to me by Mem.

This hack will allow you to display the members in
your phpmychat on the forum home page. Very useful
for allowing others to know who is in the chat, and
to further promote the chat room.

Requirements:

- phpmychat (must be installed on same database your forum is running under)
Can be found at: http://www.phpheaven.net/projects/phpMyChat/download/

- You may need, but not tested, the phpmychat
integration by Stasik, which can be found at

After notes:

I highly recommend phpmychat over any other chat room, as it is free and easy to set up. It works very nicely also.

I've installed it with out the intergration hack, and it works fine.

One small fix (doesn't change function)

but I just combine phpmychat to vbb not write a new hack.

I have a question to Mem or anybody else if you could help. How can I get some stats about the phpmychat room, that I can display in the who's chatting area? Such as, much like who's online, I would like to know the max people ever in the chat room, max ever in the chat at one time, and what the date of the last person in the chat room was.

lol, I was wondering just the same. I wish I could be a great hacker like some of the guys on this forum and answer some of the questions, but unfortunantly I haven't been spending enough time learning PHP and MySQL. Anyway, I have tried using:

But that just gives an error of an non-existant user.
