For forum admnistrators who are trying to reduce the number of http requests in order to speed up their forum and ultimately increase their pagespeed grade, I have a quick solution.

Subforum statusicons are not that important to display.
But if you remove them entirely how can your users know if a subforum has new posts?

SIMPLE:
[1] Login to admincp: Style Manager > Edit templates > Forum Home Templates > forumhome_subforums
[2] Replace all the content with the content I provided.

of course your effort is appreciated and no body say not!!

It is just want to put things right so no one get confused about the major factor that causes pages to perform best

waiting to know how you are going to do this good stuff though...

if you can combine all js and css and main images individually together, then it would be great!!

The options to combine all javascript in a single request and all css (2 http requests to serve all) are hardcoded in my test forum.
The misfortune is that I need to learn how to combine all and make a xml file to create a mod.
Because it would be bad for most owners to manually edit php files to implement this optimisation.

My other priority is how can a hacker exploit this.

Pretty sneaky there, removing the subforum icon & replacing it with a symbol.
