NoSpam! Image Enhancement (New version of No Spam! for Custom Image Verification)
Developer Last Online: Aug 2023
Anti-SPAM Tool.
This is an enhanced version of the popular NoSpam! mod by antialiasis for vBulletin 3.7 Original Mod Thread Here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=183329 This mod was marked "Re-usable Code" so I have added a new feature that turns this into an Image Verification mod. I thank antialiasis for the groundwork and his original mod and thank him again for allowing the code to be re-used by the community. This new version of NoSpam! called NoSpam! Image Enhancement turns the very popular NoSpam! mod into a custom image verification system. Besides just setting a question and answer(s) you now also set an image which is displayed along with the question. You should make your question based on the image. For example: If you have an image with two cats, you can ask the question, "How many cats are in this picture?" and you can set the acceptable answers to: 2 and two. (Answers are NOT case sensitive.) If you used the original NoSpam! mod you will quickly understand how to format the question, image, and answers. If you never used the NoSpam! mod I have included specific instructions and examples. Two example images are included with the zip and will be need to be uploaded to your /images/nospam directory (which you will create.) When you import the product it will automatically be setup to work with the two example images. These are EXAMPLES- you should add your own images and questions as soon as possible. BE CREATIVE with your images and questions. The more creative you are the harder it will be for spammers to crack this. Sometimes you might be able to ask several different questions based on the same picture. Useful Tip: DO NOT include the answer to the question in the file name of the image. This will be the easiest way for bots to try and answer your questions. This is Version 1.0 - Initial Release Demo: http://www.juot.net/forums/sendmessage.php (on the "contact us" page) See screenshots for more examples. Disability Compliance: Please understand this mod will make it impossible for blind users to register on your forum. The "alt" text of each image will tell people if they can't see the image please contact the administrator. Please be considerate and offer alternate means of registration on your forum somehow/somewhere besides your normal registration. This has been tested on VB 3.8.7 and will work on all 3.8.x and 3.7.x versions of vBulletin. It will not work on VB 4.0 or above. Please Mark as Installed if you use this. Download Now

It should already work in those areas if guests have permission to post.

Ironically, I just spent last week setting up hundreds of images on the old version of NoSpam, where you had to put in the HTML code to the image in manually with each question. Wish I had seen this just a few days ago.
<Glances as profile> Good lord man, did you single handedly update every mod on the site? (!!) There was something I was trying with the old mod, but ran into an issue with the way answers had to be separated (with a ":"). I wanted to use short video clips, and gathered dozens of stock video footage, no more than a few seconds each. I was planning on using YouTube, but ran into the colon problem, since full URLs use a colon in the http://. I can still host them once I convert them to smaller embeddable files. But do you think it would be possible to embed video clips with this new one, as well? I'm going to try and install it this weekend to see, but just thought I'd check in advance. I wanted to try and use the JW Player, provided I can get around the ":" in the embed code. |

The character used to separate answers/questions can easily be changed if you edit the PHP code, I believe it is an explode() function that explodes based off ":", simply change it to something not used in YoiTube videos like "~"
Yeah... I was busy for a couple years... not so much these days. |

I"m having problems with this..
It's telling me Quote:
edit. Got it. I double break the lines so it was spitting out the error. Seems to be working good now. |

It's been a long time but in my navbar I have a quick search function where this verification does not show and spits out an error. Is there a workaround?
