This will play You've Got Mail when a new notification is received. You can also replace the mail.mp3 file with your own sound to play upon a new notification.
I ask that you not remove the branding as it helps support me. Without support I will not continue making modifications.

Installation:
1.) In the AdminCP go to User Profile Fields -> Add New User Profile Field.
2.) Select Single-Selection Menu.
3.) Apply the following settings: Title:
Sound Notification Description:
Enable the You've Got Mail sound to play when you get a new notification? Options:
Yes
No Set Default:
Yes, but No First Blank Option Private Field:
Yes Field Searchable on Members List:
No Show on Members List:
No
4.) After saving take note of what the ID is of the field.
5.) Open product-soundnotification.xml and find:
fieldXX
Change the XX to your fieldID I told your to take note of.
6.) In the template navbar find:
<if condition="$show['notifications']">
Below add:
$soundnotification
Done.
Upgrading:
Import the product and select Allow Overwrite.

edit: works great, Thank you.. may consider the upgrade if more uniques features are implemented the user choose file , is a great idea as long they can host it themselves not with my forum
As the forum owner i like to leave the who's online window open , am i gonna hear it every time it refreshes?
I uploaded the mp3 file to my forum root. I too have it playing on every page I select in my forums. I do have VBOptimize installed. I will flush it's cache to see if helps.

I'm an idiot. With 4 years of VBulletin experience I still don't have enough common since to check the file before it's uploaded. I uploaded the correct file and PMed all those that have donated the new link.
Thanks for donating guys! I'm going to be keeping it to save up for my next VBulletin license so I can keep helping out the VBulletin community.
