Thank for the tips UKBL... but I cant start simple, I NEED Skype integration from the start.

so i would suggest you go to the Skype official site, and ask them how to do it... you're in the wrong place right now, there is no Skype support here...

Hi Buddy,

I've never done podcasts with Skype before, I thought you wanted to start this from a simple point of view as opposed to the more advanced set up. Best bet might be as nexy says is ask at the skype support site.

can i ask why you want to involve skype??

Good luck with whichever way you decide to go

Well the website I run is 8WayRun.com, and we have players around the world. We need to be able to FedEx people some mics so that we can do interviews and the like. Its cheaper than flying them in studio.

It's fairly old now though and I'm not too sure that the new Skype version (4) still has some of the features.

I will say from experience, an external mixing board will give you the best quality and way more options.
