Profile Enhancements - Twitter Postbit by YoBroMoFo

UPDATE:
This mod, is a Twitter hack for your members Postbit. It allows them to enter their Twitter ID, in edit your details section, and then the Link to their twitter account is displayed in their Postbit.

It is also usergroup permissable. See the first if condition.

If you USE this mod, please click INSTALLEd and RATE it please. This way I know people are interested in my stuff

User Profile Fields

Add new User Profile Field > Single Line Text Box

Title: My Twitter for under my Avatar
Description: Enter your twitter id here Example: BobSmith
Field Length 30
Profile Field Type: Single Line Text Box
Field required NO
Field editable by User : YES
Private field: no
Field searchable on Members list Yes
Show on members list YES

Regular expression: ^[0-9a-zA-Z_]{1,15}$|^$

Which page to display this option? Edit Your Details

Click SAVE
On next page take a note of the field number for this new profile field. Example field18

In the code below, change fieldi to your field number, example field18. There are 2 edits, make sure you do them both.

Also ensure you have entered the correct path for your image, normally

http://yourwebsite.com/forum/styles/...me/twitter.jpg

Replace yourwebsite.com with your website
Replace forum with forums if your forum is in folder forums ( i think you understand)
Replace styles/stylename with whatever folder you are using for your forum, ie: mine is styles/australia

Ensure you paste the amended code, as you have edited it, with correct file path to the image. Plus correct field names !

There is only one actual field, but it does need to be edited in 2 places in the above code.

In Postbit_legacy find:

$post[skypeicon]
</center>

After this add the code above.

Now upload the image to your respective folder.

Thats it.

great mod, but it ain't working for me..

actually i'm running a 3.8.0 if that makes a difference. i don't see any </center>.

it's $post[skypeicon]</div>

i modified the code and inserted it after </div>, but it didn't work. then again i inserted it before </div>, still didn't work..

any ideas?

I have the same problem as above.
Edit: Found the solution, our templates are using postbit not postbit_legacy. Search for the same code in postbit and place it under the skype div's ender tag.
