Xbox Live Gamercard Block in Profile · **Released**: 02-21-2008

Step 1: Add a new Profile Field with the following options:

Single-Line Text Box
Title: Gamertag
Description: Enter your Xbox Live Gamertag here.
Max length of allowed user input: 15
Field Length: 25
Private Field: No
Field Searchable on Members List: Yes
Show on Members List: Your choice
Which page displays this option? Edit Your Details

Remember the FieldID.

Step 2: Import the attached Product.

Step 3: Modify 2 templates.

1. Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Member Info Templates ->
memberinfo_block_gamercard.

Find $userinfo[fieldg] (4 Times!) and change the g to the Gamercard field number.

2. Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Member Info Templates -> MEMBERINFO

Look for:

$template_hook[profile_right_mini]
$blocks[friends_mini]
$blocks[albums]
$template_hook[profile_right_album]
$blocks[groups]
$blocks[visitors]

Put $blocks[gamercard] somewhere in between. Best option will be right after $blocks[friends_mini]:

Step 4: Go to Edit Your Details to add your gamertag to your profile.

Any idea why the gamercard is aligned to right in my profiles? Doesn't make sense since there is nothing that I can see aligning it to the right.

Hi cheers I I evntually got this working

After upgrading to 3.7 beta 5 I never reverted my templates so I didn't even have the new user profile!!

But now I have and all is well again

This is a great mod if you ask me, especially for gaming forums. What I would like to see is a Xbox button in posts where you usually see like MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, etc as well so when users click the little icon, they see a pop up iframes with the Xbox 360 Gamer tag. Any ideas how to add this feature as well?

Are you intending on making a PS3 gamer tag as well?

Obviously there's something going on, this is two people with it aligned to the right. I've looked and see nothing aligning it that way personally... Minor problem but it'd be nice to have it centered.... I tried centering it but it wouldn't. Bump...
