[Unmodified] PHGStats ProjectvB Details »» | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
This project was inspired by the hack here but by taking the stance no modifications to any phgstats files what so ever is what makes it totally different.
This way when theres a update for either vb or phgstats unless theres some major change in either product its unlikely an update of one would affect the other. Templates: 0 at the moment may move some stuff to templates later. Phrases: 0 again may add some Files: 1 to upload plus the phgststats program Plugins: 0 File edits: 0 DB Queries: 0 Template edits: optional to add a link to the page in your header or navbar or where ever else you may want one. Q. Does it integrate with the vbulletin style A. Yes it works out the box with most of the styles I have tested it with. The only style that went slightly wierd was an old style that has not yet been updated to vb 3.5.4 Q. Can servers be added bia admincp A. Not at the moment, a link is there if your an administrator (grouid 6) for the phgstats admin panel. If in the future I was to consider making a vb admincp interface it would simply do the same job the phgstats admin page does. Q. will it ever be out of beta stage A. maybe, maybe not. Q. Can contributions be made to the project A. Sure under the terms of the credits is fine. Contributions will not be accepted if they involve modifying any phgstats files. Beta, recomended to test first and only install live if your happy with the results. There is a vbPortal version done, a Logicians Web Templates addon almost complete, and a vbAdvanced cms 99% finished. They will all run stand alone from each other meaning you wont need to install this one for a CMS/CMPS version to work. For those who dont know, what does this do ? PHGStats will poll several types of gameservers and teamspeak 2 servers for data. Currently supported game servers by PHGStats 0.68b:
Instructions. Get PHGStats Upload the phgstats directory to your forum root and run its installer. No db is required for this. Verify its polling your server(s) and displaying out put. Upload the attached file to your forum root and load that and you should see the same results but in a vb style page. Add a link to the page in your prefered template/location. I am not offering any official support as its beta but I am usually around so I may be able to answer further questions. I dont have a demo right now as I am awaiting my host to open some ports for me. It has been tested with live servers but not in a live vbulletin install. Update: Added an admincp nav loader, this should load the admin file for phgstats to you admincp main frame. As with using the phgstats admin direct the config.inc.php file in the phgstats/settings directory will need to be world writeable. Feedback welcome on how this pans out. It has been tested locally to work fine. Upload the cpnav_phgstatsvb.xml to your forums includes/xml directory. Refresh or logout and back into admincp. Show Your Support

If you know your host supports fsockopen one of those can be ruled out in which case it sounds like something bad with the game class file, perhaps it got corrupted when you uploaded the phgstats, or theres the possibility you have entered a bad host/port. If you have used a hostname have your tried the actual ip instead ? As theres no modification to the phgstats program for integration and as you know where the phgstats resides on your server you can call the pages direct to ensure the integration isnt interfereing. |

future request (if you even choose to update this):
--add ability for ORDER of server listing --*add markup to display for SELECT server in the list... like with bold or color.* btw this works with all the listings in on the verification server list stat page... but not in the vbull output server listing page. how we get that to work? |

in any case...
could someone clue me in on how to control output look of the stats? its so bland as is. I'd love to be able to bold or color some of the text and separate it off with tables or something. here's our UT server listing: TSU sniper server the full list is even more drab: UT Sniper serverlist |

Sorry for delay in response been away on holiday.
Adding those two abilities would likely mean modifying the phgstats source. Not sure what you mean by works on the virfication page but "not in the vbull output" ? You should be able to change some text and backgorund colors from admin but you probably need to make settings/style.inc.php writeable or edit it manually. For further display enhancing you would be looking to modify the main/phgstats.inc.php where it echoes the outputs. Once I am updated fully to 3.6 I will verify its working with the latest phgstats version (0.6.9 currently) I dont see why there should be any issues. Also the phgstats project page is no more and phgstats is currently a sourceforge hosted project http://sourceforge.net/projects/phgstats/ |
