it's a funny hack

when you have a unread PM, a voice alerts you

open your footer template and add to the bottom

Code:
<if condition="$bbuserinfo['pmunread']"><center><EMBED align=bottom src="http://www.yoursite.com/forum/message.wav" width=0 height=0 type=audio/mpeg AUTOPLAY="1"></EMBED></center></if>
It is working with IE6 and firefox(without "mepiaplayerconnectivy" tool)

if you have a different idea except the "embed" code, pls report me

He's offering it for anyone that would like to try it, he didn't say you had to use it, why say anything neg. if your not going to use it? Just go to the next thread without showing your ***

I did a hack similar to this one only recently , but with random sounds - but i noticed when i used the Embed command , the newest security on Internet Exploder 6 with Microsoft's latest upgrades that i kept getting an active x popup request when i had a message which drove me mad - if someone here has the same problem , change the EMBED in the code to BGSOUND and it should fix that issue (hopefully).

Well done on this hack.

I have installed this and works ok on IE but nothing on firefox anyone got any ideas why????
