DownloadsII
DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions. It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions. Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod! You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt). I try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if I don't ask for them. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find some screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can find a live demo on my own site: Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it. Changelog (version 6.0.9) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home. Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values. Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system). Add-ons There are currently no official add-ons. Unofficial add-ons are listed below. We are experiencing problems with our forum.
Up until today it was working fine. When our customer try to download a file over about 5 Meg (using download II) they now get an error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 10451457 bytes) in /data/12/1/145/37/1145526/user/1216855/htdocs/forum/downloads.php on line 763 The problem file is about 9 Meg and it has previously been downloaded thousands of times using download II It seems this started when we upgraded to Vb 4.1.7 Any suggestions would be appreciated |

We have just switched over to this from Links and Downloads, which is now no longer supported due to the coder passing away.
We are using our downloads area for 2 things. General files and files that only subscribers can download. We need the subscriber files to be viewable by all, but not downloadable. I'm looking at the user permissions and it's looking like you can only exclude folks from seeing a category, not downloading from it. Is there a way to keep everything viewable but not downloadable? |

I am having the same issue. There is no actual error posted, it just reads as above.
-- Ignore this. IamSocom -- check to see if you have set up your extensions in admin area. You need to set them up for images and zips or whatever other extension you plan on using. |

My web host Siteground.com installed and setup the vbulletin for me and I'm having trouble trying to figure this all out. I can't find my forum directory, would it be under a different folder name? Please help, Im going bald trying to properly install and setup Downloads II.

Hey there, ever since I installed this mod my users cannot upload an avatar. DownloadsII has stopped me from being able to check the "enable custom avatars" box, same with signatures.
Please help! |

I have been hacked two times by use of this script. They have somehow managed to upload .php file extensions when i only have .zip allowed. Also only trusted members can upload files. The files aren't being renamed to the same file structure as normally uploaded files via the script.
Are you aware of any security bugs? |
