Hey Grimm, I haven't changed /updated anything on my end with the integration, but it would seem that the changes to sigmachat on your end have fixed the login problem I had previously reported.

Hi all, just bought my platinum to use the authentication script.
I have setup the usergroups access to chat in the global settings but wondered if this works if a member subscribes and becomes a member in a paid secondary user group. I have the feeling only primary groups are recognised as I added my paid group to a user name and they could not access the chat. What's the best way of only allowing paid members access? thanking you all |

It's not working correctly for me (Almost but not quite)
![]() First in your globals phrase additions you spelled Sigma wrong in sigmchat_refresh_msg it should be sigmachat_refresh_msg Also in the whos online my screen comes up wrong, saying there is 0 people in chat when there is someone in there and it also says I am a user when I am an adminstrator (Usergroup 6) If no one is in chat it shows.. Currently -1 user(s) chatting. (With one person in there it shows 0, with two is shows 1 user chatting with 3 it shows 2 etc..) Please see the attached images for more details. As you can see when I am loging in it is verifying me as an administrator. Alsi is there any way to verify me the whos online is only being updated every 2 minutes? I just dont want to get a huge bill for whos online when the script is set to two minutes. Thanks for the hack and the great chat! I just upgraded to Enterprise last week. |

Hi scottct1,
OK -- yes it was a typo in the installation file, which will be corrected shortly. Thanks! The Who's Chatting link should have been fixed in this release -- did you reupload all of the new files? If so, can you provide me with a link to your forum so I can check it out? We don't charge for Who's Chatting hits anymore, so there is no worry there ![]() -Chris Quote:

Is it possible to use secondary usergroups yet to define chat mods? I have some "normal" users who would be great chat mods, and creating a secondary group for this would be really nice and easy. |

OK --
I just posted (8:36 EST, 11/11/04) an update to the script with some bug fixes and new functionality: 1. The Who's Chatting link from the Quick Links pulldown is now much smarter and more tightly integrated with the forum system. 2. The Who's Chatting link from the Quick Links pulldown now indicates the subroom a user is in. 3. Authentication now checks member group ID's per popular request. |

That one is working well.
![]() Now I just need to figure out how to put it above my forums listing, it is up there now but the columns throw it off a bit this way when we have chats I dont need to update my navagation bar letting people know a chats in progress. ![]() Thats not a problem with your hack at all, just a design issue on my end! Thanks again! |
