DownloadsII

DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.

It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.



Instructions & Support

Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions.
It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions.

Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod!

Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it.

Help!!! I can't upload large files??

This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home.

Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values.
Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system).

Is there any way that the exact location of the downloadable files is not visible to the users who are downloading the files.
If so please let me know.

i am saying when a user initiates the file downloading, the http downloading link make the exact file location on the server visible to the downloader.

Example: http://www.xxxxx.com/downloads.php?d...acd2adfa7713c7

http://www.xxxxx.com/DownLoAd/Direct.../file_name.rar (this link is visible in Internet Download Manger and even in browsers such as Google chrome, etc.) ----- I want to hide this link and the upper link should only be visible.

The real link isn't file_name.rar

The real link is something like file_name123412.rar.

You can change the link which is visible for the user to something fancy by hacking the downloads2.php file (should be line 380 or something where the http headers are beeing send - haven't checked right now - the number is out of the top of my head, i looked into it some months ago since we wanted to change the filepath to ftp, which didn't work out).
