Submit threads, blogs, articles to facebook, twitter, myspace and others - addtoany
Developer Last Online: May 2011
Just thought I would share a way I found for your members to submit threads to any social networking site like facebook, Twitter, digg...any of them!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To add this code, you will need to edit your "ShowThread" template. Go to: Admincp>Styles & Templates>Style manager>Edit templates>Show Thread templates>SHOWTHREAD In the SHOWTHREAD template, Find: Code:
<div id="thread_controls" class="thread_controls"> <div> And below that, add this code: Code:
<a class="a2a_dd" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save"><img src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_171_16.png" width="171" height="16" border="0" alt="Share/Bookmark"/></a><script type="text/javascript">a2a_show_title=1;a2a_num_services=14;</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js"></script> If you would like to customize the button code, go to www.addtoany.com Anyway, that is it! very simple, light weight and effective! Enjoy! Here you will find a demo --> CLICK HERE EDIT: If you would like to add this to the CMS articles, see post #8 HERE If you would like to add this to blogs, see post #16 HERE . Screenshots

Try this:
It aligns the Social Network icon to the left of your thread, AND as an added bonus, I've added in the new "Google+" directly below it. . - Edith Williams www.DancerHangout.com __________________________________________________ ________ <!-- AddToAny BEGIN --> <a class="a2a_dd" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save"><img src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_171_16.png" alt="Share/Bookmark" width="171" height="16" border="0" align="left"/></a><script type="text/javascript">a2a_show_title=1;a2a_num_services=14;</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js"></script> <!-- AddToAny END --> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script> <glusone></glusone> It works! |

Not quite there. It adds an extra line space after the AddToAny drop-down menu, so the entire area suddenly becomes deeper.
Can you visualize this? It should align on the baseline with the navigation links on the right. It doesn't. Peace, Gene |

Gene,
Go to www.dancerhangout.com See header.+ I placed it in my "header" this time. It's below my banner - don't know if I like it but is that where you want it? - Edie + |

FWIW, the code here is better than what is on the actual AddToAny website.
Here it picks up the titles " automatically". On the AddToAny website it does not. -Edie Williams |

I'm having the same problem as others, seen here: http://www.omniverse101.com/forum/sh...ind-Control%29
I just would like to have this on the bottom of the bar it's on(or centered), and also on the left of the panel not where it is now(in the middleish area). I read the post about 'experimenting' with it anywhere on the template.... Well... I have no clue how to do that. I'd really appreciate someone just posting a very small edit to the coding of this, for new users to have it aesthetically pleasing (for 4.1.x). Either way I'll still use it unless I find a better one. But it would sure look better if a good samaritan here (who knows what they are doing) would code it for VB 4.1.x forums to be more visually pleasing. Thanks -Omni |
