vB Ad Management 4 Details »» | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
What does it do? Features include global settings, advertisements allowing template conditionals, ad sharing and ad revenue sharing, timed advertisements, preset popular ad locations and functions such as sponsors, additional custom ad locations, random and static advertisements and its all very easy to use. You can use it for ordinary ads like adsense, banner rotations, or any content at all as well as using it to manage ads outside your forum too. You can read in more detail about these and other features in the manual, which also contains some helpful notes and instructions, as well as the installation and upgrade instructions If you are using autoinsertion and were using vB Ad Management before version 4.00, you will need to remove your old template edits or advertisements will appear multiple times. Just reverse the old instructions below. Quote:

I have searched this mod and I still can't figure out why the banners aren't showing up in firefox 2.0.0.6. It works fine in IE 7. Maybe I am an idiot but I can't seem to find the problem.. Thanks.

Hi!
I love your module. However, I would need this to be an automatic. Is there any way to make it so that people can buy banner space for x weeks? After PayPal payment banner would be shown and if there are multiple banners then it will become a banner rotator, in other words it takes a random banner. |

I've been using this mod with great success for quite a while now. I love it! Most of my ads work beautifully, so I keep them in the rotation.
However, I've got a handful that won't work. They throw things off when they come up. (mostly in the navbar or header, but it's a problem in the footer as well.) It's difficult to explain what happens, but they shift things around or make the entire forum link to their site or something like that. It's just a few so I haven't worried too much about it, but if you've got the time to take a look I'd appreciate it. Here they are: Auralog Languages Code:

It's a good concept but it looks bad on my website and the placements don't work very well either.
You can actually imagine my problem by looking at this vbulletin.org forum. Take a look at the two dark blue sides on each side of this forum. I thought this was where the right and left advertisements would go, but that doesn't work. My forum is designed exactly like this forum so that visitors viewing my forum on an 800X600 resolution could view my site without having to scroll from side to side like they would in a 1024X768 designed forum. Is there any way to get advertisements into left and right sides I have just pointed out? In the screenshot, I have circled in green the two spots I would like my ads to be placed in. Thanks |

I read in the earlier pages that an option to put a static and a rotation banner in the navbar will be added.
Has this been put in or did I miss it? If I'm not making any sense here's a forum with the banner rotation setup that I'm looking for. |

Here are pictures of what's happening when these are added to the rotation. (I also included one good ad so you can see what it's supposed to look like.)
As you can see they appear in the welcome block instead of in the regular navbar (except Snapfish, which seems to have a bit of a different problem), and when they do, they make the username and other info there into a hot link to the ad site. It's a problem, and I don't know why it's happening, or how to fix it. Thanks! |

nice mod.
I do have couple of problems: 1. The header has an extra ";" at the end, don't know how it got there. see http://IJFG.com 2. experiemented with forumbit, however the ad did not show up, don't know why. thanks. |

I agree that it's certainly something that should be included, I'm just aware of not knowing an equally aware that it's a big job. Quote:
You can just add a custom block using the instructions in the first post, but a navbar section is included by default in the next version since a lot of people asked for it. |
