[DBTech] Live Streaming Suite v3 (vB4)
Developer Last Online: Mar 2023
Live Streaming Suite lets you host a directory of your forum's Twitch.Tv or YouTube channels, complete with stream status, live previews and direct links to users' streams!
Why use Live Streaming Suite? If you run a gaming forum, and a lot of your users stream content, you know it can be hard to get good exposure on Twitch.tv or YouTube for your members' channels. This mod can help boost your members' exposure by letting them add their own channels to your directory, displaying them in a nice easy-to-browse interface with multiple features that allows viewers to find your channels easily. You can also use this mod to promote your favourite streamers by adding channels via the AdminCP. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other addons available @ www.DragonByte-Tech.com/forum Support posted at our forum is generally answered much quicker. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like this mod please hit the button to the right ----> Please remember to click the, button to the right if you installed the mod ----> What does 'Marking As Installed' do ? * It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified by us whenever new updates are available. * For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention. * Marking a modification as installed also helps us know how many people are using our work, giving us extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications. I've tested this @ a live site (finalfantasyforums.net/livestream.php) and it's working perfectly fine there, so I'm not entirely sure what to tell you if I'm honest.
If you PM me with an FTP and AdminCP account I can see if I can figure out why it's not working for you, though. Fillip |

Having looked into this @ your site, this is working as intended. Until you go live at least once and the mod picks up on it, it's not possible to view the Twitch or YouTube players. Sorry about that.

It's good to know that the mod is installed correctly... I have gone live several times from both Twitch and YouTube to test, but it appears the mod never sees the connection. Thanks again and we'll see what other options we can find... Regards, Doug ps: attached a pic of YouTube live stream in real time, demonstrating that it's active. All settings are correct for vBulletin add-on including channel identifier. Also attached is pic of what mod shows on vBulletin client when clicked on, with stream saying "Stream Status: Seen live 0 time(s) Never Seen Online" So, perhaps YouTube has changed something in its protocol for delivery for live streams, which is why the vBulletin add-on is not seeing the stream? |

Ok, I think I've figured this out... maybe...
It appears that at some point YouTube has changed the way you access a live stream channel... The method this mod uses ends up pointing to a person's personal YouTube page and not the person's live channel video stream they're trying to feed to this vBulletin mod. Therefore, the mod never sees the live streamed video at all... So, as a reality check, I'd like to hear from anyone currently using this mod successfully and if so, how did you instruct the mod to point to a live channel video stream .. Thanks.. Regards, Doug |

pretty sure I installed everything in the right locations, but going into the site, link isn't in nav bar, even though it is active. not sure what I did wrong, already changed settings in the options for it.
