PhotoPlog: The Lite Gallery Details »» | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
PhotoPlog: The Lite Gallery PhotoPlog Lite is a gallery script for GIF, JPG, and PNG images. PhotoPlog Lite comes with categories, permissions, comments, search, moderation. The installation takes care of phrases, templates, tables, etcetera. Just follow the README.txt file for installation. There is a license agreement that I request that you abide. Thanks! This thread is organized as follows:Fine Print: see license agreement, no redistribution, copyright retained in full, right reserved to uncheck support box. Requirements: vB 3.5.0+ (development initially based on having vB 3.5.4 though vB 3.6.0+ and vB 3.7.0+ should be okay, but not every version was personally tested) and MySQL 4.1+ (development based on having MySQL 4.1+ though MySQL 3+ may be okay, but not every version was personally tested) and PHP with GD2 and Safe Mode off Does it work on vB 3.5 and vB 3.6 and vB 3.7? Yes, it should. See the requirements. Also, there are two product XML files, one for vB 3.5 and one for vB 3.6/3.7, so import the one that matches your vB version. Live Demo and Official Support: http://www.photoplog.com/ Note on Official Support: With 70 some pages, assuming 15 posts per page, and over 1000 posts, all in one thread, official support for this mod is now held off-site. Apologies in advance for possibly having to register at yet another forum, but IMHO support would be better served elsewhere at this point. All support requests, except perhaps for proven bugs, may be ignored if posted in this thread. Comments, suggestions, etcetera are welcome, but please note that further modifications are not being planned, as this is intended as the final release of the lite series. Fun Fact: PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.6 had 4330 downloads plus 2262 downloads prior to CSRF protection plus 3031 downloads as of 06 Nov 2010! Show Your Support

Thank you. Great addition - *installed*
Just wondered if it might be possible to do either of the following: 1st, I'd like to be able to create at least one category that can be reserved for a specific user group. That is to say, the pictures would display to all with viewing permission, but only one group could upload to that category. I only need 1 category to do this, the others would be available to all members. 2nd: Is it possible to specify which categories appear on the Forumhome if the option Code:
$photoplog_forumhome Those options would turn an excellent hack into absolute perfection (for me at least) |

Hi,
This is a great hack. Does anyone know how to increase the default font size while putting comments. When members put their comments, without changing the font size, it looks quite small and I want to increase it. Right now, they have to manually change the size after typing and most forget to do it. Thanks, Bagh |

Help..
I'm new to vBulletin and like to install this mod. I got stuck in the 1st step: How do I set the full path to my main forum directory? I got this from my Forum config.php // ******** FULL PATH TO FORUMS DIRECTORY ****** // On a few systems it may be necessary to input the full path to your forums directory // for vBulletin to function normally. You can ignore this setting unless vBulletin // tells you to fill this in. Do not include a trailing slash! // Example Unix: // $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = '/home/users/public_html/forums'; // Example Win32: // $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = 'c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\vb3'; $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = ''; How do i modify the above config.php for the below Photoplog config.php?? Do i hv to copy "$config['Misc']['forumpath'] = '' and paste below " define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/full/path/to/forum')?? Please advise. // ################################################## ###################### // ####################### START CONFIGURATION ############################ // ################################################## ###################### // set the full path to your main forum directory: if you are not sure of // the full path, look in your vB config file for $config['Misc']['forumpath'] // and see if there is a value present - if not, ask your host about it or // try the getcwd function: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.getcwd.php define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/full/path/to/forum'); /************************************************** ************************ PhotoPlog Lite License ================================================== ========================= This software is as-is, no warranty of any kind, use at your own risk. Eric,
That config file has nothing to do with your Lite gallery config. You only need to modify your lite gallery config not the forum config(unless you have not installed the forum, if its installed and working then dont touch the config file for the forum) anyway to get the server path use an ftp program like smart ftp and right click on the directory and hit copy path. if anyone else knows how to get the path easier please advise. |

Thank you for the reply. But the 1st step of installation is to " open the PhotoPlog config.php file in a TEXT ONLY editor, and set the full path to your main forum directory." So i do not understand how to do it....so what to change inside this config.php? Shd i change the original "define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/full/path/to/forum');" to "define 'PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/public_html/forums')"? I do not knw coding at all. Can give me a guide? Thank you..
