Detailed vBulletin skin installation instructions with images

Version 4.x of this template for vB4 uses no tables instead i decided to use CSS3 border-image, unfortunately Internet Explorer does not support border-image so the left and right border will not appear in IE, i added the top and bottom borders in IE with <!--[if IE]>

If you change the size of the logo (vbulletin4_logo.png) you will need to edit the header template and change the width to keep the logo centered perfectly:

In version 4.2.5 the border code was replaced to work with newer CSS3, with the older code the borders would not show in many browsers.

The file size is over 2megabytes so i am having problem uploading the new package to vbulletin.org

you files has two .'s in it so "Darkness-ver6.3..zip" maybe that is the problem. thanks for the great style BTW.

I have a problem since upgrading to your new version of Darkness.

My grid is 2 columns and a side bar. i.e. on the right hand side i'm supposed to have the "recent forum posts" widget. But it no longer appears since upgrading to your new style.

Now i've checked you forum and see others are having the same issue and you tell them to raise a support ticket with vBulletin.

However, when i change my default skin to the vBulletin default skin the CMS layout is perfect. But it is not when i choose your skin. Doesn't this mean it is a problem with your new version of the skin rather than a vBulletin issue?

please provide assistance with this.

Ok I'm glad to see that i'm not the only person with this issue. I see that same problem on other styles also (not all styles just few) would be nice to know how to fix this.

Sent in a ticket to the VB team they came into my forums and fixed the issue. This is what they had to say

The problem is with your custom style. The column show up with the vB4 default style and templates. Using the default style I was able to edit the section and reset your CMS so it looks pretty good right now.

Theres a bug in the latest version of your style (6.3) , The outside border doesn't display when using IE but is fine in FF?

You need to change the file "vbulletin4_logo.png"in the misc folder. I have attached a file you can use if you want. all it is, is a clear png file.

Uninstalled. Designer doesn't make much effort to respond to his customers here.
Found myself a better style.
