Major Additions - VBay! Transform your vbulletin into an auctionhouse!

VBay.

This will add an auction section to your bulletin!

To do list:
*use forums/categories/subforums for your auctionhouse.
high bidder userid -> username
*" in description cuts the description at that point
add buyer name
fix pm formatting
add more currencies
intergrate with trader ratings
add paypal api
bidder usergroups
*hot auctions on main < - Available with addon (wont be packaged in vbay)
admin editing auctions
*set up for use with forum commenting.
*fix amount of days an auction can be posted (more than 2 char)
ability to prune old auctions
make sure buy it now is using buy it now price, not bid.
allow admin ability to specify bid/buyitnow/both overrides.

* = Completed.

Features:
Full BBCode support.
Specification of everything, Money Auction length ECT.
Image uploader for auctions.
Closed auction section.
3 auction types, bid, buy it now, or both.


To install
Upload files, and import product as usual
Make a new usergroup and call it the sellers usergroup, do what you want with this group (allow people to request addition maybe?)
Go to vbulletin options and into vbay, set the usergroup id of the sellers group you just made.


To upgrade
re upload all files
import new product
REVERT YOUR TEMPLATES

This is kind of an off question. I like this sytem a lot and want to use it but not for auctioning. I know thats what it was made for, I was wondering if I could disable the auctioning and keep the buy now prices? Thanks

You could select "Buy Now" for each item you want to sell.
If you need to disable the other options (e.g. to open this toolfor all users) you can edit the Template 'vbay_new_auction'. Just Delete The Options you dont need and add checked="checked" to

<input name='type' type='radio' value='buyitnow'>

Is there any way to create a custom form template? so that you can make your own fields, and display them the way you want on the auction?

Also, is there any way to remove the shipping options?

Also when someone posts in the wrong category in the ACP there should be an option to move it to the correct one. Great mod!

with a custom message? I've opened vbay_main under templates, but can't find the text to replace (yes I'm new to all of this).

like have percentage of negative/positive

and add credit card payment too

Also are missing PM integration so if you win an auctioned good it PMs or Emails the person who won.

Hi,

Must be missing something as the image upload part does not work. I select an image for upload and submit with no errors but it never shows?

Any ideas?
