From the makers of O and yea comes the eagerly awaited LITE version of Geek Auto-Linker.
GAL is a revolution in dynamic schwizzelsisting for vBulletin 3.5x and dramatically improved from earlier versions to be faster and more efficient.
Package updated 05/12/05
Fixes ordinal (order) of replacements
What does it do?
GAL scans posts at run time and automatically hyperlinks pre defined key words of your own creation! Thats right... every time someone types in toe jam, GAL can automatically link it to any URL you can dream of.
In fact, GAL will link several variations on toe jam (or whatever keywords you happen to use).
GAL 4.5 has improved its matchmaking abilities and now matches words returned from searches (though only single key words with no spaces due to vB limitations) and formatted words too! (which it never could before).
There are no file changes, no template changes and currently 1 query (as there is no freaking way to cache the datastore yet). Anyhooo - thar she blows.
Click install if you indeed install or you may be mocked publicly for it.
Please note that this is a free LITE version of the PRO version. Therefore there is no hovering popups, stats, impression tracking, BBcode in descriptions, etc...

The pro version is working pretty good without any bugs and etc...
As you can see in top of thread this hack is NOT supported so what is the point of ??

Nothing maybe something else but i cannot type that here.
Even this hack is not supported Geek is trying to support everyone as he could. He has a life and etc.. Try to show some respect to people.
The answer is yes, it will replace multiple words, however there are certain limitations. If it doesnt appear to be working, double check the source code fro the words in question to see if there is formatting arounf any of the words which would make GAL pass it by. THe other thing to check is to ensure that it is active.
How will this hack affect server performance?
If each posting needs to be parsed and checked for GALs any time it is to be viewed, this must have an effect.
Or does it user the vB built in posting cache? If yes, how will newly added GALs be worked into posts which are already in the cache?

It nearly has no effects. I used Gal on shared hosting with average of 150 autolinks and i can easily say that it didn't effect my board at all.
I have seen sites with 1,000 GALs that the admin claims has little to no impact - however I would suspect that its not a heavily trafficked site.
The more traffic, the more gals, the more load. On light to medium traffic it most likely wont make a noticeable difference unless you add shed loads of entries.
tested again on 2 boards ! local and my website but still doesnt work
3 screenies included
help me plz
I have the same problem, no links. But I was looking at the screenshot IrPr provided (the far right one with the code). Shouldn't there be a: > around the last part of the: 'gal' title=' (after the link)?

The code is fine. Can you provide a URl and ensure that the items are active?
