DownloadsII
DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions. It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions. Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod! You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt). I try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if I don't ask for them. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find some screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can find a live demo on my own site: Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it. Changelog (version 6.0.9) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home. Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values. Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system). Add-ons There are currently no official add-ons. Unofficial add-ons are listed below. Installed and it is excellent. I would like my images to open in a new window but it doesnt seem to be working and still opens in the same window making my users have to use the back button despite open in a new window being selected... any ideas.
I mean... I can live with it but it would be nice. |

Hey very nice!!!
Question: Does it keep the SQL server open? I had issues using this mod before because my database would time out on large files. Suggestion: A status bar when uploading? Thanks again!!! |

First off I wanted to thank you for this excellent mod! This is awesome to see that this mod has been released for vb4!
Quick question... I don't see anything about the download timers being in this version. Are there still the timers that allow different times per download based on the usergroup? Also, I use the Import option on the current version quite often. Is there a possibility of adding a way to bulk import of thumbnail images as well? The images I use are all the same name of the file that is being uploaded. There have been times when I've had to import 200+ files and manually add a thumbnail to each file. This would be awesome if adding a way to add an import of thumbnail images as well as the files. Again, thank you very much for this mod! |

I am getting this error:
Error! The upload failed (error type 2). My php upload / post limit is 50MB and the file im uploading is 5MB. I've also set the folder to 777 and created the file extension for .zip What does error type 2 mean? Thanks. |

Thanks for this mod, installed and it works perfectly. I have one question. How could I change the default sort order of files from "Date Added" "Descending" to "File Name" "Ascending"?

Is the vB attachment manager closing it? Do you have the same issue with it? There's an "Uploading file - please wait" notice now, but the JavaScript doesn't seem to work any more with vB4. It's on my to-do list. Quote:
Importing images isn't possible at the moment. I'm not sure how this should work? Most people don't have such matching file and image names. Quote:
Find and remove HTML Code:
<input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="{vb:raw inimaxattach}" />
I'm looking into this It's category based. You can change it in the category admin now. |
