Hey guyz, i'm sure the majority of us are aware, but vBcom is running the new vBulletin 3.6 beta1... and needless to say that I am dying to test this myself...

On reading the official thread on this, there are some 'additional' features for modifications, and one that got my attention was that if a coder made a page to check for the latest version of a hack, it would tell you which hacks are and are not up to date... So i'm asuming this is something that would only be catered for in a hack that was made for 3.6

So the basic question... Will 3.5x hacks work on 3.6 without the bells and whisles [ie: auto version checker]? or will there will a likelyhood of errors because it wasn't coded for that version?

coz if they will work, then i'll upgrade the same day it's at a public release stage, but if not, my forum has a number of hacks that it relies on, and would have to hold off...

I'm hoping that's not the case...

Out of curiousity... Coders don't have access to the beta before public release do they? Coz that would be awesome... Working on new hacks and they'll be ready when vBulletin is released

For the moment it looks like all the hacks will still work, but no one will offically know what hacks work and which ones don't untill it's offically released. We should be getting a public beta within the next few weeks from what was said on .com
