Difficult question regarding edit permissions for users, cannot find solution...
Hi,
i am really pulling my hair out over this: In my forums, users have the right to edit their posts for one day. Now sometimes someone starts a thread with the need to edit the first post often (imagine for example a record-release-list, which other users complete with each post). Of course, the good user who started the thread cannot edit the additions into the first post after one day... Is there some way to grant that right to a single user? I tried creating a new group, but the right "can edit own posts" is tied to the time limit set in the general configuration... I also tried finding a plugin/hack, but obviously cannot find the right search terms or it doesn´t exist :disappointed: Your help would be greatly appreciated :squareeyed: Thanks, kopfnick |

Edit the user in your AdminCP and select Access Masks in the dropdown menu in the top.

My problem: I need to give one user the possibility to edit his own threads/posts for a longer period of time than the general setting for all users (which in my case is one day). greets, kopfnick Ah, just found something like it: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=66139 Now, to only find it for my 3.5.3... :smoke: If anyone knows of something similar, a tip would be appreciated Greets, kopfnick |

Accept from making the user a moderator (you can limit his moderting permissions), i can not think of a way to do this without a modification.
