General development questions
I am setting up a vBulletin board for my company's web site, and I have some very general questions about customizing vB.
We paid for an install, so vB is up and running on our web site. I created an "as installed" backup of all of the files on the server, and I have downloaded a vBulletin install package, so I have a good starting point, source-file-wise. I have a local machine configured as a web server, where I do my PHP development. I envision installing the downloaded version of vBulletin on that machine and using that in my normal way. Dreamweaver, PHP, MySQL, sync the files when a new version is ready, etc. (I assume that doesn't violate my license agreement, right?) Is that the way most people here work? Or are there tools that I should be downloading? I found the Graphics Kit, but is there anything else that "everybody" recommends? Just getting started, obviously. Any general advice? -- Eric |
