Does this make sense?
I have been watching this for a while now. On my website, when I click on a link sometimes it will take a long time to open (as much as 20 seconds), as if the server did not register the request.
When I click on the same link twice, within a fraction of a second apart, it will open fast as supposed to (0.30 second). Any which way I look at it, I am puzzled and am wondering what could affect that? Has anyone else experienced such odd behavior on their sites or other sites? |

Does this happen only to you or everyone?
If you have access to another computer, try it on there to see if happens. It happens to me aswell, when i click on the link it wont load so i have to click on it again. I think its a problem with my internet connection or computer. |

This is probably a long ways off.. but how long ago did you restart your computer? I've run into similar issues where a simple reboot fixed it just fine.
But maybe you need a new mouse? I had the exact same issue about a month ago.. swapped my mouse with a new one and the problem was solved. |

It's hard to tell.
It could be anything... - your server (high load) - settings are not optimized - multiple custom scripts running (not optimized) - a bad script - or, it could be the initial load of the site (into memory, etc) ... |

if the "page generated" is low, it is 100% related to your own connection, as the page generation take no consideration that you are on the planet or in space...

It could also be your datacenter's connection to the internet. As you can see this depends on so many things.
Do a large number of users at your forum have the same problem? |

Or external images included in that post that take a long time to load.

I don't have any external images and so far no one else has complained to me. I changed some code from $_get into $_Request and that seems to help a little.
I had rebooted PC and server. Mouse is out of question as this seems to happen only on my site. Load on server varies between 0 and 1.0 Sometimes when I do not double click and wait, it will say 20 seconds with a load of .30 Brad can you elaborate on the datacenter suggestion? |
