One thing, could you explain this: Quote:
What do you mean when you say some lamers "manage" services requests...that almost sounds like a good quality. :surprised: On a semi-related note...let's say I pay someone to modify or create a hack. Do they have the right to keep selling it? I guess it really doesn't matter if they have the 'right' does it....if someone else asks them to update the same hack to vb 3.5 they will sell the existing hack to the requesting person. |

Course you could always agree that the buyer sends you a certain % of the revenue for the hack. You shouldnt quote me on the validity of this, it's just a general feeling I have (plus I think someone said this along time ago) so I await affirmation/confirmation from someone who knows what they are talking about ![]() |

But if projects get finished the requestor is supposed to state so in the thread.

The simple answer to 'would it not get a better response?' in my opinion is no ..... the majority of coders here I would say the reason they do not respond is due to time restriction .... therefore unless you pay them a wage they would get at work which no one aint never gonna do, then payin ain`t gonna make the responce any quicker

There isn't anything wrong with taking a existing hack and customizing it for your own personal use. I've done it, alsmost will all the hacks I've downloaded. I just don't share it as that would be wrong.

Coding is really nice and addictive.
But supporting hacks just SUCKS. I will never tick the support box again. I like coding and that's why I have made some hacks but I absolutely HATE supporting. I used to think that supporting is nice and always checked the box. But now I find it terryfying. I wish I could un-check all the support boxes on my hacks (exept the smilie maker perhaps) but it wouldn't be decent as those who installed them, installed them knowing that they would receive support for them. It's like taking back something that I said and I don't like that. ![]() Anyway, that's the reason that, no matter how good of a coder I might be in the future, I will never release paid hacks!!! (I hope time does not prove me false on that ![]() |

Many times striking up another thread talking about the hack.
- how it would help your site. - thoughts of how to make the hack better - link to the hack - blaw blaw whatever ? I have worked on many hacks because @ the time it was something good for projects I was playing with. Yes, if there is something I want and do not want to wait. Money moves people?s priorities. ![]() |
