The iPod screen may be good for quick picture viewing but it is mainly a music player. The other features are really just gimmicks to get people to spend more money. In my opinion, the PSP is a more all around device which fits multiple needs.

Almost agree (and I have a 5G iPod). It is not a great or really even that good of a video player but an excellent music player. A PSP is a great gaming machine and video player due to its physically larger 16:9 screen (although lower resolution IIRC). However, I don't think it makes a good music player: too bulky and the highest capacity it can store is 1 GB on a Memory Stick (go proprietary media...just let it die already, Sony).
