Question about the warning hacks...
I am thinking of putting a user advisory panel together of, say, a dozone memers of my board. I want them to be able to 'ban by commitee.' I don't want them to actually be mods, but if say 3 of them warn someone, that user can be temporarily banned.
The idea is that I have a limited number of mods, and want to keep it that way, but I am thinking of giving some power to a group of senior members, and et them guide the direction of the forums a bit. Kind of like setting up another branch of gov't. I am the Executive, they the representitive branch, judicial to come later Could this be implemented with the existing warning hacks? or is this a very custom mod? Do you even think it is a good idea? |

With the AWS hack and possibly a bit of manipulation, it could well be possible.

I will look into it, you think it is a good idea? I have refined it, the mods are the executive branch and the Admins are the Judicial

Personally I wouldn't use it, but like I said, it could be possible to so with manipulation. Possibly something like only letting them set alerts and having them auto post in a mods forum for review and then further action be taken from there. Of course you could probably achieve the same thing with the report post function using a reported post = new post in staff forum hack.
