I like your style a lot. It's smooth and simple, good effect. You need to set fixed widths for your tables on forumhome though because they don't align.

I like the fact that you didn't cram your main page with all the available vbadvanced blocks ... most of that stuff is not needed. Most people use them to "fill" empty space -- bad way to start a site in my book.

Move the SEARCH to the top.
Add a LOGIN to your main page.
