"Contact Us" creates new thread
Like the mod which creates a new thread when someone reports a post, it would be great to have a thread when using the contact form too ...

The 'simple' version is to use the forms hack here. I believe you can specify in the admincp an alternate url / email / etc for contact us.

Hypothetically this would be easy to do using the "Form to PM/Thread/Email" hack, and just change the link in the footer to the url of the new form.

Yeah, thanks.
But Cybernetec just made me thinking (happens from time to time - thinking I mean) ... Even if the team would see the contact us thread, it means still I would have to have an email address which can be used by everybody to send out mails (to avoid using their own addresses).... |

Well... you could always make a secure forum for admins only.
Have them enter their email address on the form so that it displays in the post. Heck, if you wanted you could use one of the "Hide" hacks and put that in the template so that it hides the email address from everyone but those you specifically want to see it that can access that forum Personally, I'd rather stick with the contact us form, but just giving you options to do what your considering * Cyricx is the king of the secondary usergroup access system |
