To be honest, I'm not entirely sure..
It just appears to be very hard for newbies to have any real input with the Reputation System as it is.
Register Date Factor: 365 They have to be registered 1 year to gain an extra point of reputation altering power.? Hmm.. Few boards live longer than 2 years in my experience.
Post Count Factor: 1000 1000 posts for an extra point of reputation altering power? I only have about 3 or 4 users with higher than 1000 posts after a year of being open!
Reputation User Spread: 20 Seems a bit dodgy to me for smaller boards.. 20 different users before you can give the same person reputation again?
I don't want to make it too easy, so that users could technically get a huge amount of reputation points very quickly. Then again, I want all users to be able to have some kind of input and not just those that have too much time on their hands..
We have been around more than 2 years and stronger than ever
But for those three, we use 365 days, 250 points and 5 users.
