In vB3.0, I used to put all the admincp permissions for my hacks under 'can_admin_languages' then only assign a few people to admin languages. How would I do that in vb3.5?

Just hiding the Links won't keep other Admins from using the Scripts if they don't do Permission checks on their own ...
Anyway, you can edit the cpnav_xxx.xml Files to check for certain Admin Permissions by adding parameter permissions to their navgroup entries. You might want to take a look [url=https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=82698]here[/b]. You can also introduce custom Admin Permissions by using Hook can_administer, but currently it's still a bit tricky to provide a GUI for adjusting such Permissions as it is not possible to stick them into the standard Admin Permissions editor. |
