I thought about that but didn't try it because I didn't see the need to punish the other members. I don't know about you but my members seem to value their post counts along with their lives.

Btw.: Forcing Users to introduce themself can by VERY annoying when you got several hundred new registrations/day

I don't have that problem yet (hopefully one day) and at this point I don't moderate new members so it's not a terribly intesive process thus far. Once they make their intro thread, they are promoted in the next cycle. If I ever get to the point where people begin to slip through the cracks I'll examine other possibilities.
