Looking again at this, you should have been getting an error on that first query, unless you have installed 2 Boards into the same database, 1 using a prefix and the other not using a prefix.
You can run the following query to fix your problem:
[sql]ALTER TABLE `jelsoft_forum` ADD `hide_hack` INT(1) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL; [/sql]
