How would I go about creating a test fourm on my hard drive?

url's to needed programs would be great.

If you have difficulty with this one... You might try this one done by Mr. Filburt1, I attempted the TECK one and had problems with the apache server or something... and I loaded this other one and it started and worked perfectly.... Here is a link.

Nothing against TECK I'm sure his works, these links just worked better for me and is an alternative if Tecks don't work for you..

this might have been said, but a good way to get everything needed on your computer, would be to install a program called phpTriad, i think it might have been upgraded recently, but i use phpTriad for working on my forums safely, the best thing about it, is there is absolutely no hard ftp work or uploading, for phpTriad, go to http://www.sourceforge.net

I used PHPTriad. Worked perfectly. I suggest using that. But obvioulsy, if you want to learn, do it manuelly. I did it that way then used phptriad when I got my new computer
