Each browser renders things differently. There's simply no way around it. Netscape is different from Internet Explorer and IE for windows is different from IE on Mac. It's really crazy and I'm afraid there's not much you can do about it.
The most you can hope for is to get as close to what you want in most browsers, or design your site with multiple versions, one for each browser you wish to support.
