Can I put php code into the templates?
The reason I ask is because I have a links menu on my navbar, and I want to create trackers for each click a link gets, and next to the link I will put the tracker result. But, to do this, I have to edit index.php, showthread.php, showpost.php etc. etc. Im just wondering if there is a way I can include it in the navbar template so its automatically used in each of those php pages? |

Reason: when a user clicks on a link, I need to execute a routine that will load a file, increment a counter for the source that was clicked, and then close it again. Also, when the navbar loads up, I need to load all the variables from the file into the navbar. |

I Dont Understand -- We Just Put It In Those Two Places? Or After That Do We Have To Put It Also In The Place We Want It To Appear?

Put the code to aggregate the data you need in one of the locations and then call the variables in Template navbar.
