members page after login (instead of forum index)

hey...

I've searched the forums for this answer.... but couldnt find anything - so please excuse me if it's been asked before!!

I'd like our members to see a "members page" after they login. At the moment the default is after login, it goes to the forum index.... can it go to a custom page??

if so, where do I change the code to do it?

is there a part where it has a redirect after successful login I could change or something?

try doing some experiment with $url variable in login.php
or..
try searching for template names that appears in login.php.
Then search for html o javascript redirect in these templates.

right after the start login part in login.php:

add this code

$url = "<the URL you want to redirect to>";

it has to go BEFORE the globalize function at the start of the "start login" part. .. I think

That would get annoying... people usually login to access something they are currently denied access to, and logging in brings them back to that page. I'd do something like
