Get login and password from other database
I have three web sites and I want users to have one login and password for all of them, like Microsoft Passport.
They will have to register on the "passport" site and then login with the username and password on any family website. My question is: How hard is it to hack vBulletin to get usernames and password from other server/database? Where should I start? If someone had experience with this before, please share the information. Appreciate your help. Alex |

you would have to use only 1 registration form, then have that info sycronised with the other 2.
Or, if they share the same server, try to get them onto the same database! Only my suggestions of how to do it. unfortunately my ability to code is far too limited to for something like this.sorry |

I posted a few weeks ago in the "Service Requests" forum looking for someone to write an export script to export usernames/passwords to import into another membership program.
I was told by everyone that it is impossible to export the passwords in an unencrypted format. I'd gladly pay for this too, but I fear that it just isn't possible. Can someone prove this wrong? Thanks, |

I think some of the features in vb 3.5 (data api and hooks) might make this a possibility.

Why not just have Both your website and your forum grab the user information from the same database?
