vBulletin and Diku MUD
Hello, all.
This may be just plain off the wall, but here goes... Has anyone experimented with integrating a Diku MUD with vBulletin? I'm thinking it shouldn't be too terribly difficult to do. I'm strong enough in C and MySQL to do it, I believe, however I am not familiar enough with the vBulletin backend to really know where to start. To explain a little better, what I want to accomplish is for the MUD (C code) to update, delete, insert, and query the vBulletin database. What variables need to be passed and what tables need to be updated in the vBulletin database for a post to be considered complete and not FUBAR the board? I planned to create a new category and several new topics within vBulletin called MUD Side. Since the MUD user data and the vBulletin user data will be completely different, will this cause any conflicts within vBulletin? I'm not sure how it could, but better safe than sorry. Any kicks in the right direction, even if its just what tables and scripts to look at, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Eric |

Could you please start by explaining what a "Diku MUD" is?
