Conditional Templates
Hi everyone, I posted the following at vbulletin.com, but was told to come here to find a solution. Can anyone help me with the following query i have?
Could someone please let me know if this is possible at all. I have a site that requires a template to be used when accessed from www.xyzdomain.com, which works fine. But now I would like the SAME content displayed with a DIFFERENT template style when i access it from another domain i.e. www.abcdomain.com. The reason for this is to show one site as a specialised site that provides a particular service, and the other being a more generic site. I do not want to create 2 forums and 2 databases. I have been told I can do this using conditional templates, but I am not sure what command can be used to differentiate what page they are coming from. I was thinking a possibility could be <if> site accessed through xyzdomain.com = true, then display default template, ELSE, display other template. I am not sure how to go about this though. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance |
