It is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, create folders, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Sorry, no screenshots. Maybe if someone is nice they will provide a link to the latest version of ecDownloads for everyone to view it.
Changes in 3.2
- Too many to list... its a whole new world
Known Bugs:
- Missing phrase in add file (on nav bar)
- No file protection, add it here if you want: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=174
- Missing phrases (ecdownloads_can_edit_all and ecdownloads_can_view_disabled) in admincp
Install
Make the file edits in ecDownloads.txt
Upload the contents of 'upload' to your forum directory
Run the downloadinstaller.php file in the admincp (install/rebuild styles and phrases)
Create a directory called 'downloads' (or whatever you put in your settings) and make it writeable and executable
Bugs:
- Counts can be messed up due to failed upload attempts
- Files with the following characters in the name (author, filename, etc) can cause errors: :;'"<,>?/|\}]{[+=)(*&^%$#@!~` This has already been fixed on my boards, but i dont think it is important enough to do another release. I will wait for version 2.5 to release the fix for this.
- Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in dl_manage.php on line 17 (FIX THIS NOW)
again, hate to do this, no disrespect to Ron1n but if you need a supported fully functioning downloader that integrates flawless w/ VB - http://www.securedownloads.net. Yes, it costs $$$ but until someone else picks this up and runs with it 100% or Ron1n comes back, your options are limited.
Doesn't look like the product is fully function. Sadly there is no mention of it not working when the forums are on the root directory, there is no manual and the support is lacking. It would be nice if it worked, has lots of potential, but I think its still a long way away from being worth the money.

Just to clarify your not talking about my mod, but this one: http://www.securedownloads.net correct? If you are having a problem with my mod just mention it and I will try to help.

That is correct yes. I would love to give yours a shot, but I haven't seen a mass upload feature yet. As I have 2.19 gigs, 2,230 files and 884 directories I would be adding them all for a year. I would be willing to donate if the feature was added to add the files and categories automatically.

i brought secure downloads - its looks good but to me aint worth the money.it does`nt integrate deep enough i think and i swear the problems people are having getting it installed is a joke and like you say - support is bad.You can only ask install questions if you buy support which for a program dont install to well in the first place is very laughable.

Well, I don't know about adding a feature to do that... but I would consider doing something where you can add 100 files at a time via links. The only thing you would have to fill in, if you wanted to, would be authors and descriptions, and for authors you could just fill in one for all of them. I dont plan to create something to read a files right off of the server anytime soon.
If you are willing to pay about $100 I can make you a mod that has nothing to do with this that just reads in whatever is on your FTP and gives you links to the downloads... but I doubt thats what you want.
I am in the process of installing this mod, looks so nice.
Unfortunately though I am running into an error message when I attempt to run downloadinstall.php
"Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/mobiled/public_html/discuss/admincpanel/downloadinstall.php on line 76"
Please help! I really want to get this mod working. Any help is appreciated greatly!
I fixed it myself by commenting out line 76 and adding " );" to line 75 and then running the installer, and then adding the commented out phrase manually.. works perfect.

Fixing. Will post result in a few min.
EDIT: I fixed it, along with several other non-bugs that irked me. 2.0c is available for download.
P.S. I hope everyone realizes that upgrading from things like 2.0 to 2.0b or 2.0c only requires 1-2 edits + uploading 2-3 files. It doesnt require any major installs or anything like that.
