Script Integration with vB3
I might be asking in the wrong forum, but perhaps someone can point me in the right direction. I've search without success.
I want to write a script, which I would like to tie into my vB3 website. The script will allow a user to create a diary/log... database driven with statistics. I need it to be as secure as the user profile and managed through their UserCP. So basically all logged in users will have access to their log, and only their log. I can write the script. How do I tie it into the user profile? Thanks in advance! |

Maybe someone can just tell me what to search for? I am sure this type of integration has been done before. I just need to know what I'm looking for.
Again, thanks for your time. |

Perhaps you should take a look at the vbjournals script and try to tie the display into thier usercp or into a link off of it. You could take out the option of making the journal public and hard code it as private so only they can see it.
edit: alternately, maybe you can replicate the user comments code and use some template variables to show it only to that specific user. You could create whatever stats from those fields. Might be a place to start if you want to go from scratch. |
