Fetchall for VB?
Hi all
I dont know if anyone here is familiar with fetchall for phpbb but Im currently trying to decide between vb and phpbb and was wondering if a similar script is available for vb? Fetchall basically just parses parts of your forum to any page you wish, and you can be very selective about what items you want displayed. www.able2know.com uses it extensively. Sincerely, Travis U. |

vb3 by default has RSS/xml/javascript syndication which may fit your needs. If you could elaborate on exactly what your looking for - I am sure we can present you some solutions.

Reeve -
Have a look at able2know.com. You will see below the category listings a running display of various full forum posts. You can see its a selective parse in that it is not showing alot of the extra poster related data that is normally present. Its slimmed down. If you click on a category you will again see the same thing but only posts from that particular category are being parsed to the page, again slimmed down. Here is a big list of other sites using fetchall so you can see what it does... here Thanks much, Travis U. Reeve - I just noticed pulsetoday.com is doing something very similar on their homepage and they are using vb. I wonder how they do it. Sincerely, Travis U. |

Pulse Today is making use of vbadvanced CMPS, a portal hack available here (free of course). As part of the settings, you can select which forums to pull 'news' from and how much of that post should be displayed.
