I live in south Texas. Trust me, had it happened at any time other than Christmas Eve, they would have!

Starting to become sad how people react with this weather these days.
No offence to people that live in those states but its true.

I think that happens when any unusual weather hits. It rarely snows down in deep south Texas, so when it does, it's a major event. Some of the places that got it hadn't had snow since 18-something, so it really was a huge deal to them. I have friends in other parts of the country who tease me when I get all excited because we got flurries. It's not that I "freak" per se; I'm just dying to see how my kids will react to a snowball fight! When I get teased, I remind them that the 90 degree weather that sends them into a panic is just a spring day to me.
