StarcraftDream.com
Give me some feedback on my SC community site, I'm looking for some ways spice up the table headers/tcat (maybe like vbtemplates). Note that it is meant for 1024+ resolution, but there is a lite version of it that is 760px wide (and each with an option to disable the snow). I've done many modifications all around in the templates, and used tons of tutorials from this site. I actually prefer making custom pages without vbadvanced cmps, but that is just me.
And do go easy, I'm still a youngster. http://www.starcraftdream.com/ (vbAdvanced) http://www.starcraftdream.com/forums/ |

The blue in your color scheme doesn't match with the grey's in my opinion. Perhaps if the blue was darker, but it's a light/dark clash to me.

People still play that game?
Looks nice. But I agree the colors don't seem to "match" & I would also upgrade from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 |

To be honest I have absolutely no idea. Aesthetically it's nothing amazing, I can't work out whether I hate or love the bright blue

Yeah tons of people still play Starcraft, this is just a community for one of the types of maps, a closer community which is nice.
I've been going back and forth with the postbit (mentally), it really looks horrible the other way with the dark gray (which bugs me, but I havn't found a good replacement color yet), but I will probably fix that. I added the gradient to the navbar so it isn't so bright, but I love the blue/gray, and everyone is so used to it, I'd be heartbroken changing that. Almost all of it is done by a 16yr old on his spare time, so nothing is perfect, basically months of fine tuning everything, just recently have I started getting into template conditions and all that.. I want to round the postbit heading like vbtemplates, so I will probably attempt that soon. Any suggestions for replacing the dark blue? |

I still play StarCraft.
Pretty much agree, it just isn't that overwhealming, and looks kind of PHP-Nukish. Color combinations aren't right, and though you did a good job on slicing the images, it still takes quite a while to view on dial up. Too much junk on the front page as well, slows things down quite a bit. To be honest though, I've seen a lot worse, but with some minor changes, I think you could make it better as well. |

Same, seems to be a problem there.

The postbit that you use on your forums is the kind of postbit that I would like to have. Did you code it yourself or is there someplace where I can download the coding for it?
