Auto Thread on New Registration

Was wondering if there was a way to have the forums automatically create a thread when a new user registers for your forums. In my forums, when a new user registers, I make a thread formally welcoming him/her to the community in a specified forum.

Was just hoping maybe someone can work on something like this.
