Hopefully someone can help me out with what im looking for...
I do web dev for a travel agency. We are thinking of adding a section for our past customers so they can upload pictures of their trips and do a type of a blog. It wouldnt be a blog in how most people use them, but the customer could use it so if they wanted. I know there are a few open source blog packages available. Im just looking for some guidence and whatnot. It doesnt have to be open souce or gpl. it would be nice if each person could have their own url. like www.mike.ourtravelagency.com or www.steve.ourtravelagency.com thanks in advance ![]() |

I did some minor work for a client a while ago who did exactly what you are trying to do. However, he used some of the misc modifications we have here to achieve the effect of a blog or travel-log as he put it, using vB's forum system. With a bit of playing around you can do this quite easily

I wasnt even planning on using vbulletin as part of it. it would be nice to have a shared user db, but that doesnt really matter.
do you mind if you at least show me the work you did. another key would be to have easy uploads for files, which vb does have with attacthments. im going to look around more today for some other blog programs i found this: http://www.opensourceblog.com/ and blogger.com allows using their software on your own site. |
